First part of "Good Promotional Practices" Training, of the Research-Based Pharmaceuticals Companies (AIFD) which has been organized to cultivate an environment that is compatible with the international legal and ethical principles of the pharmaceutical industry was given to 809 participants from 30 member companies. The participants of these trainings were; regional managers -as majority-, sales managers, product managers, medical managers, and, finance and legal staff.

The contents of this educational program arranged for the staff of sales and marketing departments of the member companies of AIFD, were realized by PTMS-Pharma Tailor Made Services.

This training program aimed to explain the mission of AIFD about high ethical standards and transparent practices, to all the members of the association and to communicate the methodology to be followed upon this mission interactively to the participants.
 
During 23 November and 23 May, in the training sessions "Promotional Practices" conducted in different regions throughout Turkey,  the follow-up of the high ethical standards used for marketing activities and work-shops on real life scenarios were presented to AIFD member companies and their personnel. In this program, along with theoretical training, there were also simulations and case studies so that the training sessions should provide more interactive and sharing approach and thus retention of the knowledge was assured.

In each training seminar, the diversification of the participants' was taken into consideration which enabled exchange of ideas and a collective consciousness. Regional managers of various companies had the chance to meet each other and in this way their future communication was attained and the resolution of the probable problems were assured.
 
The common feeling of the participants for this training was, this educational program was the first step for a vast change in pharmaceutical industry.
 
The main feed-backs for the training session were as follows:
  • This training seminar should be given to all field force representatives and sales managers
  • Turkish Physicians' Association should be informed about this educational program and AIFD principles 
  • Turkish Pharmacists' Association should be informed about the training program
